The first entry

February 1st, 2007 by Felix-Nicolai Müller

OK, I spare myself the “hello world” talk. I just put up the website and think it works quite satisfiying.

Today I took the test in the lecture course for social psychology. Honestly I think I did pretty well.
The Prof. is really a great person and the test was easy, even though it was a multiple choice
test, which in my eyes are not really easy to take due to the little differences you have to pay attention to.

The subject were the 12 experiments we read about:

  • What social psych. deals with
  • Behavioral study of obedience (Milgrim)
  • Stanford prison experiment (Zimbardo)
  • Group inhibition of bystander intervention (Zimbardo)
  • Impression formation (Higgins)
  • Self-fullfilling prophecy (Biesanz)
  • Perceptual salience (Taylor)
  • Self-awareness (Beaman)
  • Kognitive dissonance (Festinger)
  • Mere Exposure (Zajonc)
  • Reactance (Bushman)
  • Emotions (Schachter & Singer)

After all, it was an enjoyable course and I am looking forward to the second part next semester.

OK, enough for today as I must study for the upcomming statistics test.

Until tomorrow.
